Bring the whole family for an afternoon of creativity, discovery, and fun! Join the Arlington Historical Society, Cyrus Dallin Art Museum, and Old Schwamb Mill for engaging hands-on activities that celebrate Arlington’s rich history, art, and culture.
At 2:30, enjoy a special performance of Freedom Further Extended by storyteller and public historian Sean Osborne. Learn how Revolutionary War Black Patriot Lemuel Haynes, central Massachusetts yeoman Quock Walker, and New York abolitionist Sarah Peters each helped advance the promises of the Declaration of Independence.

Sean D. Osborne is a public historian and storyteller who enjoys sharing his research through stories, documentaries, animated shorts and exhibitions. He is also an Air Force veteran who started the campaign that led to the 2022 signing of legislation designating July 8 as Massachusetts Emancipation Day also known as Quock Walker Day.
