The Arlington Historical Society announces a special program, Arlington's
Native Peoples, for third-fifth graders, October 22, from 1-3pm. Jim
Porter, producer of Menotomy Journal, airing on Comcast Channel 8 in
Arlington, will be the student's tour guide to bring them into the ancient
past of Arlington's oldest inhabitants.
This program is given in conjunction with the Massachusetts Archaeology
Month, established to identify and celebrate the local heritage of each town
in the Commonwealth, sponsored by the Massachusetts State Historical
Commission. Our program will focus on Native Americans and their artifacts,
especially those found in and around Arlington.
Most suitable for third-grade children and older and adult companion.
